During the autumn and winter months the canal takes on a different feel. Trees change colour, spiders webs become visible in the early morning and you can travel all day without seeing another boat.

What better way to test the canal cruising water than with a short break (Friday to Monday, or Monday to Friday).
All our boats have central heating and are well insulated. So imagine a cosy boat, a good hot meal, an excellent bottle of wine - that's the best way of dealing with the winter blues!

If you don't fancy home cooking, canal-side hostelries provide a warm welcome on chilly autumn and winter evenings.
